321SS Braided Metal Hose – CS 150# RFSOF Floating Flanges Both Ends

From $186.97

321SS corrugated hose with 304SS single braid and carbon steel Class 150 floating RFSOF flanges. Configure 2.00–4.00 in. hose ID with published overall lengths from 12–30 in. online. Longer lengths and 6.00–12.00 in. sizes require RFQ and engineering review.

Description

This Quick Ship catalog family uses carbon steel 150# raised-face slip-on flanges (RFSOF), floating on both ends of a 321 stainless corrugated hose with 304 stainless single braid. With both flanges free to rotate until torqued, the assembly bolts between any pair of Class 150 raised-face flanges regardless of how their bolt holes clock – the installer aligns each end independently. Raised faces concentrate gasket load for reliable sealing against standard steel flanges, while retaining independent flange rotation for installation alignment. Available sizes and overall lengths are controlled by the active product configuration above. Choose this family for general flanged service in steel piping systems; choose the flat-face stainless family for cast iron or FRP mating flanges; choose the 300# double-braid family when pressure class demands it. That decision tree helps keep the flange interface and assembly construction clear before order review.

Key Features

  • Floating RFSOF flanges both ends – independent bolt-hole alignment at each flange
  • Raised faces for concentrated gasket load against steel mating flanges
  • Carbon steel Class 150 slip-on pattern per ASME B16.5
  • 321 stainless corrugated hose, 304 stainless single braid
  • Selectable sizes and overall lengths are controlled by the active product configuration
  • Type C stub ends form the welded pressure-boundary connection while the raised-face backing flanges remain loose for alignment

Applications

General flanged flexible connections in steel piping: pumps, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, headers, and equipment nozzles across HVAC and industrial water systems. Typical media: water, glycol, condensate, compressed air, and fluids compatible with stainless hose and carbon steel flanges.

Materials & Construction

Hose: 321 stainless steel corrugated. Braid: 304 stainless steel, single layer. Floating flange ends: 304 stainless steel Schedule 10 MSS Type C stub ends with carbon steel Class 150 raised-face slip-on backing flanges, ASME B16.5 drilling. The Type C stub ends are welded to the hose terminations; the backing flanges remain loose and rotatable for bolt-hole alignment.

Pressure, Temperature & Application Review

Allowable pressure and temperature depend on hose size, braid construction, fitting design, operating temperature, media, movement, bend radius, cycle requirements, and installation geometry. Do not select this assembly from nominal size or flange class alone. Submit the design conditions when the service is critical or outside normal mechanical-piping conditions.

Displayed prices and selectable configurations do not constitute a certified pressure rating, code-compliance determination, or engineered system approval.

Testing & Documentation

Testing, tagging, material documentation, and written reports are available only when included in the accepted quotation or order acknowledgment. State all testing and documentation requirements before production release.

Ordering Notes

Select size and overall length (flange face to flange face). Align and torque each flange independently – do not use the hose to draw flanges into position. For Class 300, stainless, or flat-face interfaces, see the related Quick Ship families. All assemblies are made to order; hose-series ratings are referenced at the controlled source catalog temperature and require temperature derating for service. Applications outside published ratings require
engineering review before order – request a custom quote and our engineering team will
respond with a reviewed configuration.
