321SS Braided Metal Hose – CS 150# Plate Flanges, Fixed x Floating

From $184.99

321SS corrugated hose with 304SS single braid and carbon steel Class 150 plate flanges, fixed x floating. Configure 2.00–4.00 in. hose ID and select a published overall length online; 6.00–12.00 in. require RFQ and pricing/application review.

Description

Field installation of a flanged connector between two existing flanges is a geometry problem: eight bolt holes on each end have to line up simultaneously, and the piping rarely cooperates. The fixed-by-floating configuration is the practical solution. One end of this assembly carries a carbon steel 150# plate flange welded square to the hose axis; the other carries an identical flange left floating so it rotates freely until torqued. Bolt the fixed end first, then spin the floating flange to match the remaining bolt pattern – no springing the pipe, no re-cutting gaskets, no forcing alignment through the hose (which converts installation error into premature failure). The hose itself is 321 stainless corrugated with 304 stainless single braid, welded throughout. Available sizes and overall lengths are controlled by the active product configuration above; fabrication and release timing are confirmed during order review.

Key Features

  • Fixed flange one end for square, repeatable seating; floating flange the other for bolt alignment
  • Eliminates forced alignment – the leading cause of premature connector failure
  • Carbon steel 150# plate flanges, ASME B16.5 Class 150 drilling
  • 321 stainless corrugated hose with 304 stainless single braid
  • Selectable sizes and overall lengths are controlled by the active product configuration
  • Welded construction; hydrostatic certification available

Applications

Field retrofit of flexible connectors between existing flange pairs, pump replacement projects where new equipment flanges don’t clock with old piping, hydronic and condenser water systems, and industrial water piping. Typical media: water, glycol, condensate, and fluids compatible with stainless hose and carbon steel flanges.

Materials & Construction

Hose: 321 stainless steel corrugated. Braid: 304 stainless steel, single layer. Flanges: carbon steel 150# plate – one welded fixed, one floating – ASME B16.5 Class 150 pattern. Welded hose terminations.

Pressure, Temperature & Application Review

Allowable pressure and temperature depend on hose size, braid construction, fitting design, operating temperature, media, movement, bend radius, cycle requirements, and installation geometry. Do not select this assembly from nominal size or flange class alone. Submit the design conditions when the service is critical or outside normal mechanical-piping conditions.

Displayed prices and selectable configurations do not constitute a certified pressure rating, code-compliance determination, or engineered system approval.

Testing & Documentation

Testing, tagging, material documentation, and written reports are available only when included in the accepted quotation or order acknowledgment. State all testing and documentation requirements before production release.

Ordering Notes

Select size and overall length (flange face to flange face). Install the fixed end first. State orientation requirements at order if the fixed end must clock to a specific bolt position. Stainless and flat-face variants are stocked as separate families. All assemblies are made to order; published ratings apply at
70°F and derate with temperature. Applications outside published ratings require
engineering review before order – request a custom quote and our engineering team will
respond with a reviewed configuration.
