321SS Braided Metal Hose – 304SS 150# Flat-Face Floating Flanges

From $186.97

321SS corrugated hose with 304SS single braid and 304SS Class 150 flat-face floating flanges. Configure 2.00–4.00 in. hose ID and select a published overall length online; 6.00–12.00 in. require RFQ and pricing/application review.

Description

Flat-face flanges exist to protect what they bolt to. Cast iron pump housings, FRP piping, and lined flanges crack or crush when drawn against a raised face, which is why those systems specify flat-face connections with full-face gaskets that distribute bolt load across the entire flange surface. This assembly provides that interface in an all-stainless flexible connector: 321 stainless corrugated hose, 304 stainless braid, and 304 stainless Class 150 flat-face floating flanges. The floating design rotates for bolt-hole alignment during fit-up – valuable when mating to fixed FRP or cast-iron flanges that cannot be sprung to align. Available sizes and overall lengths are controlled by the active product configuration above; availability and release timing are confirmed during order review. Combined with the fixed-plate-flange and raised-face families in the Quick Ship program, this rounds out the flange-interface options so the connector matches the system instead of forcing an adapter.

Key Features

  • Flat-face flanges for full-face gasket sealing against cast iron, FRP, and lined flanges
  • Floating flanges rotate for bolt-hole alignment against fixed mating flanges
  • All-stainless construction: 321 hose, 304 braid, 304 flanges
  • Class 150 bolt circle per ASME B16.5
  • Selectable sizes and overall lengths are controlled by the active product configuration
  • Protects brittle and lined mating flanges from raised-face point loading

Applications

Cast iron pump and chiller connections, FRP piping in chemical and wastewater plants, lined pipe systems, marine and coastal installations, and corrosive services requiring stainless throughout. Typical media: water, wastewater, chemical solutions compatible with 300-series stainless, and glycols.

Materials & Construction

Hose: 321 stainless steel corrugated. Braid: 304 stainless steel, single layer. Flanges: 304 stainless steel Class 150 flat-face floating plate flanges, ASME B16.5 drilling. Welded hose terminations.

Pressure, Temperature & Application Review

Allowable pressure and temperature depend on hose size, braid construction, fitting design, operating temperature, media, movement, bend radius, cycle requirements, and installation geometry. Do not select this assembly from nominal size or flange class alone. Submit the design conditions when the service is critical or outside normal mechanical-piping conditions.

Displayed prices and selectable configurations do not constitute a certified pressure rating, code-compliance determination, or engineered system approval.

Testing & Documentation

Testing, tagging, material documentation, and written reports are available only when included in the accepted quotation or order acknowledgment. State all testing and documentation requirements before production release.

Ordering Notes

Select size and overall length (flange face to flange face). Use full-face gaskets sized for Class 150 flat-face joints. Confirm the mating flange material at order if you need torque guidance for brittle flanges. All assemblies are made to order; hose-series ratings are referenced at the source catalog temperature and require temperature derating for service. Applications outside published ratings require
engineering review before order – request a custom quote and our engineering team will
respond with a reviewed configuration.
