321SS Braided Metal Hose – Carbon Steel 150# Raised-Face Flanges

From $145.00

321SS corrugated hose with 304SS single braid and carbon steel Class 150 raised-face flanges. Configure 2.00–4.00 in. hose ID and select a published overall length online; 6.00–8.00 in. require RFQ and pricing/application review.

Description

This is the standard flanged flexible connector for Class 150 piping systems: 321 stainless steel corrugated hose, 304 stainless single braid, and carbon steel 150# raised-face flanges welded at each end. Raised-face flanges are the default in commercial hydronic and industrial water systems, and this assembly drops into those systems without adapters – drilling matches ASME B16.5 Class 150 bolt circles. Use it at pumps, chillers, and cooling towers to isolate vibration; across building expansion joints to absorb differential movement; and at equipment nozzles to relieve piping loads that would otherwise transfer into casings and bearings. Because the hose and braid are stainless while only the flanges are carbon steel, the wetted flow path resists corrosion even in open condenser water systems. Stainless flanges, Class 300, and longer engineered lengths are available on quotation.

Key Features

  • 321 stainless corrugated hose with 304 stainless single braid
  • Carbon steel Class 150 raised-face flanges, ASME B16.5 drilling
  • Six stocked sizes; overall lengths 10″–48″
  • Stainless wetted flow path; carbon steel only at the flange
  • Absorbs vibration, thermal movement, and minor misalignment
  • Welded construction; hydrostatic test certification available

Applications

Pump suction and discharge connections, chiller and boiler nozzles, cooling tower piping, condenser and chilled water mains, and industrial process water systems. Specified by mechanical engineers in Division 23 flexible connector schedules and purchased by mechanical contractors and facility maintenance teams. Typical media: water, glycol, condensate, and fluids compatible with 300-series stainless.

Materials & Construction

Hose: 321 stainless steel, annular corrugated. Braid: 304 stainless steel, single layer. Flanges: carbon steel Class 150 raised-face, ASME B16.5 bolt pattern. Welded terminations.

Pressure, Temperature & Application Review

Allowable pressure and temperature depend on hose size, braid construction, fitting design, operating temperature, media, movement, bend radius, cycle requirements, and installation geometry. Do not select this assembly from nominal size or flange class alone. Submit the design conditions when the service is critical or outside normal mechanical-piping conditions.

Displayed prices and selectable configurations do not constitute a certified pressure rating, code-compliance determination, or engineered system approval.

Testing & Documentation

Testing, tagging, material documentation, and written reports are available only when included in the accepted quotation or order acknowledgment. State all testing and documentation requirements before production release.

Ordering Notes

Order by nominal size and overall length, measured flange face to flange face. Confirm gasket selection for your service. If your specification calls for weld-neck flanges, stainless flanges, or a face-to-face dimension not listed, request a custom quote – fabrication is in-house. All assemblies are made to order; published ratings apply at
70°F and derate with temperature. Applications outside published ratings require
engineering review before order – request a custom quote and our engineering team will
respond with a certified configuration.
